IRIS LAVI, 68, was traveling in a car on October 21, 2002, when a bus was blown up in a suicide attack near the Karkur Junction just before Hadera.
Iris was killed instantly. Her husband, Zion, and her brother and sister-in-law were badly hurt in the explosion. They had been returning to Netanya after praying at the holy graves at Mount Meron in the north of Israel. Iris was well known for her many acts of charity.
